What is corrugated sheet?
Corrugated sheet is galvanized or pre-painted steel roll-formed into a rounded, wavy section, also called wavy or sinusoidal roofing sheet. The common profile is 18/76: wave height about 18 mm and pitch 76 mm. The waves keep the sheet light and economical while making it much stiffer than flat sheet.

For wide purlin spacing or high snow loads, trapezoidal sheet is the safer choice. For small and medium buildings, fences and where a classic look is wanted, corrugated sheet is economical.
Thickness, length and finish
- Thickness: corrugated sheet is mostly used in thin gauges: 0.30–0.40 mm for fences and light covers, 0.40–0.50 mm and above for roofs.
- Length: cut to the required length; a single sheet from ridge to eaves avoids end laps. See trapezoidal sheet sizes and lengths.
- Finish: galvanized (unpainted) or pre-painted in RAL colours. In barns and poultry houses with high ammonia and humidity, pre-painted or higher-coating sheet lasts longer.

Installation notes
- Fix sheets through the wave crest with screws with EPDM washers; fixing in the valley causes leaks.
- Overlap side laps by at least one wave and start laying from the side opposite the prevailing wind.
- Corrugated sheet is more flexible than trapezoidal, so purlins are closer; when walking on it, step on purlin lines.
