Common standard colours
The colours below are the standard RAL colours most often requested for pre-painted galvanized coil and sheet. Stock changes continuously, so availability is confirmed with the quote; RAL colours not listed here are sourced on request.

How to read a RAL code
RAL Classic is a colour standard that identifies colours with four-digit codes. The first digit is the colour group: 1 yellow, 2 orange, 3 red, 4 violet, 5 blue, 6 green, 7 grey, 8 brown, 9 white and black. For example RAL 7016 is in the grey group and RAL 3009 in the red group.
RAL 9002 vs RAL 9010
Both are in the white group. RAL 9002 (grey white) has a slight grey tone and shows dirt less on industrial buildings. RAL 9010 (pure white) is a brighter white with a slight cream tone.
What to consider when choosing a colour
- Heat: Dark colours absorb more sunlight and get hotter; on large roofs, light shades reduce heat load.
- Paint system: How long the colour lasts depends on the paint system as much as the colour. See our paint systems guide for polyester, SMP and PVDF.
- Screen vs printed chart: On-screen colour depends on the monitor. Make the final choice from a physical colour chart or sample.
- Batch variation: Even with the same RAL code, slight shade differences can occur between production batches. Ordering all sheet for one project at once reduces this risk.
